What is your favorite holiday treat?
My mom is a wonderful baker and every year at Christmas she makes Rum Cakes as gifts for customers, clients, neighbors, friends and family. The smell of Rum Cake cooking is the smell of Christmas time for me. It is without a doubt, my favorite holiday treat!

What do the holidays mean to you?
Christmas time is literally my favorite time of the year! It's a time of family, friends, lots of laughter, love and fun! My family goes all out every Christmas, from gifts, to major house decorating, amazing food (I call it Thanksgiving part 2), and our annual Sallard Family Christmas Show.
It is literally "The most wonderful time of the year." Although this year will be different, I can't wait to kick back, relax, and enjoy watching Christmas movies with my family while drinking hot chocolate, and eating cookies in front of the fireplace. 🎄☕️

What are your favorite winter activities?
Growing up in Cincinnati, my winters were full of snow days off from school, sledding down the best neighborhood hill we could find, snowball fights, and plenty of holiday activities. However, I would say my favorite winter activity is snow skiing! My family tries to take a ski trip at least once a year and after moving to Colorado for college, it became a tradition! Now living in Georgia, I am really missing the snow and can’t wait to ski next year!

What is your favorite Christmas movie?
It’s rare to have my family watch a movie together, but every year around Christmas time I could always count on everybody gathering around to watch ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’. I’m not sure if we have ever watched the whole movie in one sitting, we always seem to start or end about halfway through, but to this day I can’t help to put it on during the holidays and smile from happy family memories.

What was Christmas like when you were growing up?
Growing up, Christmas was a very fun, tightknit holiday for my family. It was just my mom, sister, brother, and I for many years. We all made special memories that I still cherish, especially now as an adult.
